Working Typical day in Oval meeting room at White House

George: Will you or will you not tell me the name of the new leader of China?
Condi: Yes, sir.
George: Yassir? Yassir Arafat is in China? I thought he was in the Middle East.
Condi: That's correct.
George: Then who is in China?
Condi: Yes, sir.
George: Yassir is in China?
Condi: No, sir.
George: Then who is?
Condi: Yes, sir.
George: Yassir?
Condi: No, sir.
George: Look, Condi. I need to know the name of the new leader of China.Get me the Secretary General of the U.N. on the phone.
Condi: Kofi?
George: No, thanks.
Condi: You want Kofi?
George: No.
Condi: You don't want Kofi.
George: No. But now that you mention it, I could use a glass of milk. And then get me the U.N.
Condi: Yes, sir.
George: Not Yassir! The guy at the U.N.
Condi: Kofi?
George: Milk! Will you please make the call?
Condi: And call who?
George: Who is the guy at the U.N?
Condi: Hu is the guy in China.
George: Will you stay out of China?!
Condi: Yes, sir.
George: And stay out of the Middle East! Just get me the guy at the U.N.
Condi: Kofi.
George: All right! With cream and two sugars. Now get on the phone.
(Condi picks up the phone.)
Condi: Rice, here.
George: Rice? Good idea. And a couple of egg rolls, too. Maybe we should send some to the guy in China. And the Middle East. Can you get chinese food in the Middle East?

This is, for example, how a lot of people in th e Czech Rep. view the US politics... Very plain, weak knowledge of the world, and its improtant issues...
2. Topic that is "hot" now in the Czech Rep. though, is the radar system in the Central Europe [in the Czech Rep. and with the missile system in Poland]... Is any public discussion going on between people "on the street" in the US? Or practically nobody cares there about it and it is just the topic for the politician there?
3. And how you and people around you view currently the Iraw issue? Texas is probably the most conservative state [out of 50 US states] supporting probably the most Bush, the former governor of Texas... Do you think it is still the war to be won - or is it just the next Vietnam for the USA? What is your opinion or opinion of "normal people" around you?
Say Hello in TX for me... :-)

Most of us wonder why we are still there. Some of us wonder why we went. Many of us are happy this administration will soon be gone. Then history will decide the meritis of the last eight years. The big report is coming out one month from today on the porgress of the surge. There seems to be no corporation from the Iraqi government it is really falling apart. Personally I think more than civil war there is a proxy war between Iran and Iraq.
